SOLDIERS IN KHAKI

Soldiers in khaki, sailors in blue
Fighting on land and sea
Fighting for England's dear old flag
Our home and liberty
Plenty of pluck but jolly bad luck
Landing at the Dardanelle
But playing the game
They made such a name
Which all the world has learned how to spell

A-U-S-T-R-A-L-I-A
They're the boys who always lead the way
All the nations say
Hip hip hooray
The kangaroo's a soldier and a sailor
When they hear the bugle give the call
Day and night we're going to fight
'Till the enemy's out of sight
and we're going to blazon ON the name
A-U-S-T-R-A-L-I-A
