I recorded dairy farmer, Charlie Lollback when he was in his late sixties. He had a repertoire of button accordion dance tunes. After recording his repertoire he said, "You should record my father". I started to do some mental arithmetic and Charlie interrupted me to say, "Dad's 102 but still knows some songs".

Lollback Snr was 102 when recorded. He recalled learning The Old Bark Hut off a bullock driver, Jack Horne, in the Grafton area a good many years ago. Mr Lollbach was an Anglo concertina but, at 102, his hands hand given up. "I'd nearly forgotten it until it came out in The Bulletin so I went over it two or three times and I've been singing it ever since. Everybody wanted me to sing it."
